Betia Barker is the VP, Organization Development and Design for Reimagine Organization Development, Inc. She provides collaborative, creative and engaging solutions, alternatives and strategy around diversity, equity, inclusion-belonging and leadership
development.

As Talent Management Specialist at Univar Solutions, a global chemical distribution company, Betia managed all organization development solutions including succession planning, performance management, team development and talent reviews. She served as project manager for the organization’s global relaunch of SuccessFactors HRIS, receiving recognition for developing and facilitating training with the HR teams in Brazil and Mexico.

Prior to Univar Solutions, Betia was the HR Manager at IRI, a global marketing research firm, supporting over 1,300 global team members in the Operations group. She was recognized for contributing to a significant decrease in the rate of termination by facilitating intuitive, forward-thinking managerial training centering on effective conflict management and un-biased, behavioral-based employee management in addition to employee relations, coaching, and performance management initiatives.

With the support of the Sr. VP, Human Resources, Betia was promoted internally to the HR
Generalist role at DeVry University where she supported the Online Division with over 1,000 team members. Reporting to the Sr. HR Business Partner, she provided talent acquisition, DEI, employee relations and performance management support. She facilitated Individual Development Plan training in response to results of an employee engagement survey she developed. Additionally, Betia launched a number of employee engagement initiatives resulting in a 10% increase of engagement. She served as a resource throughout the talent review process and succession planning resulting in 3 Advisors’ promotion to Assistant Directors and identification of a potential President of Enrollment.

Along with her experience, she has earned a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management with HR certification and a Bachelor of General Studies in Liberal Arts & Sciences from Northern Illinois University, reflecting her passion for both people and organization growth and success
